S.A.L.E project is designed by Linda’s Education House as a platform for students to show their ability in a few aspects. Basic guidelines are given for the students participating in this project but other than that, we allow their creative juices to flow! With this project, we hope to bring the students through a realistic journey of business set up.

1. Objectives

- To impart entrepreneurial skills through creative thinking with a realistic experience

- Give students a chance to be independent

- To realize and utilize their individual strength and weaknesses

- To research on and understand how a basic business structure works

- To train students in problem solving and the utilizing of resources.

2. Requirements

(a) Group Size

The group size should range from 2 to 3 students. Students who are not from the tuition centre are welcome to join BUT the group leader must be a student from Linda’s Education House.

(b) Application & Proposal

Interested students are to submit the application form. Each group is to submit a written detailed proposal by the deadline. Upon submission, a discussion with the teachers will be held for approval of proposal. (No repetition of products allowed. First come first serve basis.)

Upon approval from Linda’s Education House, each group will have a loan of $50 as a capital. (Amount is subjected to proposal.)

Each stall has to pay a rental of $15. Groups are to submit a profit and loss statement after the event. (Template will be provided.)

Members of the group will be able to share the profits at the end of the event! The group with the highest earnings will be the S.A.L.E. champion for the year of 2007.
